Essentially, the Bilderberg Group was launched as part of the Rothschild/Rockefeller cabal which, to no small degree, holds mastery of both the Western banking system and of oil production. Over many years this cabal has used its enormous wealth, prestige and clout to lead (for their own profit) entire nations towards bankruptcy, dissolution and military disaster. Today no one is able to estimate precisely their combined income or their riches.

Groups interlocking with Bilderberg include the New York-based Council on Foreign Relations (CFR - America’s "Invisible Government" or "The Rockefeller Foreign Office"); David Rockefeller’s Trilateral Commission, also known as the "Child of Bilderberg"; Britain’s Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA); Germany’s Forschungsinstituut der Deutschen Geselschaft fur Auswartige Politik; Belgium’s Institute des Relations Internationales; the Danish Foreign Policy Society, and many more.

Most of the Americans on the Bilderberger Steering Committee are members of the CFR. All participants claim to attend in their private capacity, but considering what comes out of these conferences, that claim must be regarded as highly questionable.

Last month, May 14/17, saw the 44th annual conference, held this time at the sumptuous Turnberry Hotel on Scotland’s west coast. Though every effort is made to portray these assemblies as "colourless, dull, insignificant," the security measures taken were, as usual, prodigious. The hotel itself was emptied of all normal guests. A formidable attachment of armed police turned the entire area into an armed camp. Marksmen were reportedly seen on the hotel roof. Sniffer dogs patrolled the surrounding woodlands; bomb disposal squads stripped down every arriving vehicle in search of hidden explosives. Even bags of frozen peas were not safe in this obsessive search for Semtex, with packets picked at random unceremoniously ripped open.

The organisers deny that such tight security is in any way sinister, claim that it is applied simply "to enable delegates to discuss their problems freely and frankly, without fear of uncomfortable publicity." If the proceedings were indeed so dull and devoid of public interest, why did the organisers have all conference rooms de-bugged each morning and before every afternoon and evening session? Bernhard probably gave the game away when he once observed, somewhat superciliously, that "Political decisions of such magnitude are rarely understood by the public at large."

Who attended? Peter, Lord Carrington, former British Foreign Secretary, former NATO Secretary-General (and the man who orchestrated the Rhodesian sellout) chaired the conference, as he has done since 1991. The meeting was steered by Heinz (Henry) Kissinger, former US Secretary of State, the man who surrendered Vietnam to the communist Vietcong. Sharing senior positions were David Rockefeller and the Rothschilds of Britain and Europe. Delegates included prime ministers, industrial giants of the "capitalist" West, media supremos, scientists, academics: but, as always, the best represented industry was banking.

With their combined ownership of the major Western banks, the Bilderbergers virtually "own" the central banks, such as the US Federal Reserve; are therefore in a position to determine discount rates, money supply levels, the price of gold and which countries should receive loans. Needless to say, their aim is the creation of a common currency for all the industrial democracies, with a common monetary policy and a joint Bank of Issue to determine that monetary policy.

Obviously, when men at the pinnacle of planetary power foregather, it is not for idle chitchat. Generally, these are men who view traditional Western, Christian civilisation with contempt. Overall, they represent the same forces which set up World War 1, World War 2, the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf wars, the US-contrived sell-out of Chang Kai-Shek and the delivery of mainland China to the Reds; who arranged the sell-out of Cuba, Nicaragua, the Shah of Iran, Rhodesia, the collapse of the Portuguese Empire, of Rhodesia and South Africa, and so much more.

These indeed are the men who decide when wars start, how long they should last, when they should end: and who should participate. For out of war and revolutions come rare opportunities for power and profit, matters of immense interest to the international bankers. These are the people - as we in SA can testify - and as Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and the rest are learning right now, who can destroy entire cultures and communities at a whim.

These are the men who seek to undermine the political and social orders of all people everywhere. Thanks to such men we in this century have seen millions of lives blighted and destroyed, whole empires collapsed, untold millions of innocent people handed without a thought to communist dictatorships.

Their common goal: the creation of world government under the leadership of international finance, with the UN as its titular head. These are the men who have as their objective what Montagu Norman, former Governor of the Bank of England, declared some 80 years ago: "The hegemony of world finance should reign supreme over everyone, everywhere, as one whole, supernational control mechanism." What Norman called "the hegemony of the world" is known today as the New World Order.

To build a NWO, you first need what the Insiders call a New Economic Order. How do you justify a New Economic Order? You need a major crisis, preferably several of them. As any serious student of history knows, all major world-shaping changes have grown out of great crisis periods. Today, have we got that crisis! Brother, have we got one! The ongoing turbulence in the world money market is proof enough of that. And you can be sure the masters of  criminal politics will use that to their mutual advantage.
